Friends of Gardner Mount - New Bench

In partnership with Friends of Gardner Mount, Friends of Prestwich Forest Park and with support from St Mary's Ward Labour Councillors we are planning to site a new metal bench on the Gardner Mount  - this will be of the same specifications of those now installed in Prestwich Clough - see here

The cost of the bench is being made up of: 
  • Friends of Gardner Mount - £800
  • Friends of Prestwich Forrest Park - £466
  • St Mary's Labour Councillors - £358
  • Selected Memorial Plaque - £80.40

We opened this draw up initially to Friends of Gardner Mount Facebook group between 11/07/22 - 14/07/22 but no one submitted an entry. So now we will post this to the wider Prestwich community as detailed below.  
How to apply for the Gardner Mount bench memorial plaque

We are installing a single bench at Gardner Mount; and invite you to submit an entry, which if selected you can get a memorial plaque fitted to this bench. 

Rules of Draw. 
  1. The cost of the memorial plaque is £80.40 (including VAT) - should you be selected you will need to pay this cost via BACS to Clean Team Prestwich's bank account before we can proceed. 
  2. The memorial plaque is stainless steel engraved plaque, 120x80mm and can have 40-45 words maximum. 
  3. When the draw closes, an entrant shall be select at random.  
  4. If you are selected you'll be notified and asked to make the payment as noted above and send us the memorial wording for the plaque.
  5. The manufacture will provide a draft for review, that needs to be authorised before the bench manufacture begins. After that review has completed - the wording cannot be changed. 
  6. Please be patient for this bench installation, it is being done by volunteers and the lead time may be quite long. 
  7. The draw was offered initially to Friends of Gardner Mount Facebook group, for a 4 day period between 11th- 14th July but no one entered. This draw was extended to run  between Thursday 14th July '22 at 7.30pm and closed on Tuesday 19th July '22 at 7.30pm.
  8. The draw has now completed and the selected entrant shall be notified shortly.  ​​
