Friends of Prestwich Forest Park 'Re-energising Prestwich Clough'

Prestwich Neighbourhood Grant of £5000 is allowing us to 're-energise Prestwich Clough' with the following planned improvements:
Picture
Budget - £3000 will allow us to replace the benches that have been been vandalised or rotten. We hope to do this in both Prestwich Clough and St Mary's Churchyard

PictureExample sculpture
Two wooden (chainsaw) sculptures to continue to make the Clough a fun and engaging place to visit – replacing the current wood man sculpture that has deteriorated and is unrecognisable.

The sculptures need a solid foundation hence one maybe fitted in St Mary's Flower Park as part of the new wildflower meadow pond.

Budget - £1000 - We have made initial enquiries with Mike Burgess - Chainsaw Artist - click the link to see examples of his work.
.

A new Interpretation board that will help to educate users of the history of the area; replacing the current board that is tired, covered in graffiti and unreadable.
